Omnibus Directive - Administrative Delegations

Replacing the Title of Division Assistant Superintendent in the Directives

Interpretation

  1. In this Directive,

    "Act" means the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act;

    "Bankruptcy Administrator" means the person responsible for the administration of the Division Office. After 1992, this term was replaced by the term "Division Assistant Superintendent;"

    "Assistant Superintendent" means the person designated by the Superintendent to perform a particular function;

    "Designated Senior Bankruptcy Analyst" ("SBA") means the person designated by the OSB for a particular purpose;

    "Designated Bankruptcy Analyst" ("BA") means the person designated by the OSB for a particular function;

    "Division Assistant Superintendent" ("DAS") means the person responsible for the administration of the Division Office before the coming into force of this Directive;

    "Regional Director" means the person responsible for the delivery of the insolvency program and services within a particular region and in accordance with national operational priorities, objectives, standards and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act;

    Purpose

  2. This Directive is issued pursuant to paragraphs 5(4)(c) and 5(4)(e) of the Act, for the purpose of deleting or replacing the position title of Division Assistant Superintendent and its acronym, DAS, or the former title of Bankruptcy Administrator in the Directives with the position title of Designated Assistant Superintendent, Designated Senior Bankruptcy Analyst or Regional Director as appropriate.

    Amendments

  3. The Directives listed in Appendix A are hereby amended by deleting or replacing the position title of Division Assistant Superintendent and its acronym, DAS, or the former title of Bankruptcy Administrator with the position title of Designated Assistant Superintendent, Designated Senior Bankruptcy Analyst, Designated Bankruptcy Analyst or Regional Director as prescribed in Appendix A.

    Coming into Force

  4. This Directive comes into force on May 1, 2006.
