The annual statistical report gets a new look

In order to serve you better, the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy has improved its annual statistics report. In addition of a new format, we’ve included the distribution of insolvency files by age group and gender (see table 11, Consumer Debtors Profile).

Also note that, as in the monthly and quarterly reports, a significant change has been made to how data on proposals is reported. In previous years, proposals were reported based on the type of procedure: commercial proposals (also called Division I proposals) and consumer proposals (also called Division II proposals). Proposals are now reported based on the type of debt, consumer or business.
