Information on coming into force of legislative amendments

We wish to inform you that the Clerk of the Privy Council has registered the Orders in Council bringing into force the legislative and regulatory reforms contained in chapter 47 of the Statutes of Canada, 2005, and chapter 36 of the Statutes of Canada, 2007. The coming into force date is September 18, 2009.

Please note that the amended Bankruptcy and Insolvency General Rules and the new Companies' Creditors Arrangement Regulations will be made public when they are published in the Canada Gazette, Part II, on August 19, 2009.
