The purpose of this notice is to advise stakeholders that regulatory amendments are being considered for the Canada Business Corporations Regulations, 2001 (CBCR). The amendments would replace Part 2 – Corporate Names and add a new section 72.1 to the CBCR.
If you would like a copy of the proposed regulations and a note explaining the changes being proposed, there are two options to obtain a copy:
- Corporations Canada's website under "What's New" in the menu on the left side of the page; or
- contact Corporations Canada directly at 1-866-333-5556 for a copy by mail.
Comments on this proposal would be welcome before June 26, 2009. If you would like further information, please contact Coleen Kirby (tel. 1-866-333-5556; email: corporationscanada@ic.gc.ca).
